Hey, thanks!
Thanks to all of you for yet another packed house Friday at Rothko! It was a good night all around... solid performances, a good vibe, cute girlies... etcetera. My memory is horrible, really horrible, but I remember a couple of dudes absolutely destroying "Brooklyn's Finest". I think that might have been the first time anybody ever did that one. Also, HHK regs Gusto & Steve bringing the house down with the first ever "Wu-tang Clan Ain't Nuthin ta F'wit" performance. Dope shit...
The pictures from the January edition of HHK will be up on the site shortly, so be sure to check back soon for them. Also, we're doing a whole HHK website overhaul (I know you're REALLY excited about it). We're actually going to try and make this site look pretty, believe it or not... so look for that sometime in the next month or so.
So, I haven't bought the album yet, but I've been loving the song "Shooter" (so has the media) off of the new Lil' Wayne album. The song features Robin Thicke (80's TV icon Alan Thicke's son) on the chorus. Here's a video of the duo performing the song on Jay Leno. Check it out, overall, it's pretty dope. The only thing I keep thinking though, is how much better the performance would have come off if it had been G. Love on the track instead of Thicke Jr. I don't know... you be the judge.
More later.

Agreed... brilliant night. Golddigger was a highlight.
It'd be crazy to see what G. Love would do with that, but for whatever else could be said about Thicke, dude can sing. Not much grit or soul to it, but he's got a voice. Studio version is here: http://aurgasm.us/2005/12/lil-wayne.html
Now I'm going to have to go listen to a little cold beverage/fatman/baby's got sauce while I edit the photos... You just sent me back 10 years.

ditto - always an excellent night.
as for the website rehaul, if you're looking to sell ad space for viagra pop-ups, let me know. i've got your hook up.
yea, gold digger was definitely really really good. Abe killed it. his acapella intro slayed 'em.
haha... keep those viagra pop-up ads far away!
Whattup Wex, Derreck aka Dee Phunk here. The "2 dudes who absolutely destroyed Brooklyn's Finest" were myself and Von Pea. And thank you.
ah, yes, that's right! big ups to dee phunk & von pea... killed it! it's always dope when you come thru. oh, and, if anyone knows of anything i can do to help improve my memory, let me know. i practically live in the dark.
